Crossbrowser is one of the malware that infects people’s computers on a growing pattern. So today I am going to talking about how to remove CrossBrowser from Windows OS.

As you may know, Some computer applications, those malicious in particular, promise a better experience for free while pursuing goals that are mercantile to the bone. That is a widespread situation where an application is not what it is advertised to be at all.

CrossBrowser, as an illustration, is designed as a web browsing application that mimics Google Chrome in many ways, for instance, the logo and interface (Well, Google somehow hasn’t brought a suit for that). But when you are using it, you see annoying ads displayed around, which won’t appear on Chrome. I think it’s pretty weird this application is still live, since it is not serving the purpose of “better experience” whatsoever.

On this very page, you can get instructed to correctly remove CrossBrowser, which displays noxious advertisement. If you are interested, you can also learn what this adware is, how it acts and what risks it may pose to your computer.

More Information on CrossBrowser
How it gets installed:
CrossBrowser is distributed as a component of other applications’ promotional workflow instead of being installed from the official website.

Applications that may contain malicious programs:
Media Downloader, MixVideoPlayer and Trivia Crack Game Downloader. If you simply click through their installation dialog windows and complete the process without paying attention, CrossBrowser will successfully enter your system along with several other potentially unwanted cyber entities. Therefore, you must be sure to check carefully what is in the bundle and uncheck those via the custom option.

How it acts:
It is tailored to set itself as the default browser on your system, and the advertisements are embedded by its add-on. That means even if you have managed to bypass this trick and use another browser as preferred, you will still get an extra load of advertisements in the structure of the page you are visiting, no matter the site owner intends to display them or not.

Other symptoms that your PC may be infected by CrossBrowser:
Browser pop-ups appear with fake updates other software products recommeded, random web page test is turned into hyperlink, it takes long to fully load a page, and unwanted adware get installed without your knowledge. What you can’t see is that the search history and other general browsing data are being monitored.

Systematic Way to Remove CrossBrowser
The following content applies to Windows 8. I can tell you it is almost the same on Windows 7/Vista, if that’s what you concern : )
